Newt Larva

Larva of newt found by Robin in a small pool across the road from the centre. About 35cm with reddish feathery gills. Cannot identify from my books, which state that Palmate and Smooth larva cannot be separated.See photo which is greatly enlarged and sharpened.

This was taken on the east end of No 1 pit on 9th May 2010.
There was also some Tadpoles which I also have photos of in the same area but I'm not sure if they are newt or frog.
